Passes
Passes.
Can I attend just one or two days?
Yes. The Practitioner pass covers the Workshop Studio days, and single-day passes are available for either the Main Stage days or the Workshop Studio days. The Full Conference pass gets you all three days plus the after-hours sessions.
What is included with a pass?
Access to your track, breakfast tacos and lunch on event days, the session recordings where applicable, and entry to the Rainey Street after-hours mixer. Workshop Studio sessions include hands-on materials.
Is there a student or early-career rate?
Yes. Discounted passes are available for students and designers in their first two years. Note your status in the registration form and the team will follow up with the rate.
Are passes refundable?
Passes are non-refundable but fully transferable up to one week before the conference. If you cannot attend, you can pass your registration to a colleague through the contact form.
Program
Program.
Are sessions recorded?
Main Stage talks are recorded and shared with all pass holders after the conference. Workshop Studio sessions are in-person only, so attendees get the full hands-on experience in the room.
How do the two stages work?
The Main Stage runs talks and panels across all three days. The Workshop Studio runs hands-on sessions capped at small group sizes. The schedule is built so you can move between them without missing a track.
Do Workshop Studio sessions require sign-up?
Workshop Studio sessions are capped at forty seats and fill on a first-come basis at the door on the day. Arrive a few minutes early for the popular sessions, and bring a laptop where the session notes say to.
Can I submit a talk?
Yes. The call for speakers runs ahead of each edition. Use the contact form and choose the speaking topic to be notified when submissions open and to send a proposal.

Travel and venue.
Where is UXAUSTIN held?
At the Austin Convention Center, 500 E Cesar Chavez St, Austin, TX 78701, in the heart of downtown and walking distance to Rainey Street and the river.
What is the best way to get there?
The venue is central, so rideshare, walking, and bike share are the easiest options. Several downtown hotels are within a short walk, and the airport is a twenty-minute ride away.
Where should I stay?
The Rainey Street and downtown blocks around the convention center put you near the venue and the after-hours sessions. The venue page lists the nearby hotel districts and what is in walking distance.
Is the venue accessible?
Yes. The Austin Convention Center has accessible entrances, paths, and restrooms throughout. If you have specific access needs, reach out through the contact form and the team will help you plan your days.
Sponsorship
Sponsorship.
How do I become a sponsor?
Start on the sponsor page, where the tiers and what each includes are laid out, then send an inquiry through the form. The partnerships team replies within two business days.
What do sponsors get?
Depending on tier: stage and lounge presence, booth space in the Grand Foyer, passes for your team, placement in the highlight reel, and hosted moments with the room that decides on design tools and hiring.
Can we host a session or a side event?
Stage and Headline partners can host a named lounge, track, or co-branded after-hours event. Tell the team what you have in mind in the sponsorship inquiry and they will scope it with you.
About the conference
About the conference.
Who runs UXAUSTIN?
UXAUSTIN is organized by the Austin Design Collective, a community group of designers, researchers, and design-led founders who wanted a conference that matched how fast the city ships.
Who is it for?
Three audiences in one room: practitioners who want sharper craft, leaders setting direction, and founders betting on design. The program is built so each path has a full track and they all overlap in the hallway.
How do I reach the team?
Use the contact form and choose the topic that fits. The team answers registration, speaking, sponsorship, and press inquiries within two business days.
